How it works
From curiosity to real-world experience.
Intro is a small team of real people who research your community, contact professionals on your behalf, and coordinate an introduction. Here is exactly what happens after you request one.
Step 1
Tell us what you're curious about
Choose any career or profession. You don't need to know exactly what you want to become.
- “I think I might want to become an electrician.”
- “My daughter is interested in veterinary medicine.”
- “I've always wondered what commercial real estate is actually like.”
- “I don't know what I want to do, but I'm interested in working with machines.”
Step 2
Request your Intro
Tell us about yourself, your location, the career you're interested in, and what you'd most like to understand. Then pay the $100 Intro fee.
Step 3
We find the right professional
Our team searches your local community for someone actually working in the profession. We personally conduct the outreach and coordinate the introduction.
- There are real humans behind every step of this process.
Step 4
Go experience the career
Depending on the profession and the professional's availability, an Intro may include:
- Coffee or lunch conversation
- Workplace visit or office tour
- Shop visit or job shadow
- Ride-along where appropriate
- Observation of real work
- Introductions to others in the field
Step 5
Decide what deserves a deeper look
You leave with something much more valuable than another career profile: real experience.
